Variant cover notes

Vintage illustrated magazine covers spread across a wooden surface

Avengers NFT comic drops often ship several covers for one story. A foil wrap, a virgin art board, an incentive ratio, and an open digital cover can look similar in a tiny thumbnail. Collectors then believe they own “the issue” when they only hold one costume colourway.

Variant cover notes give each edition a caption: finish (foil, matte, sketch), artist credit as printed on the drop page, and whether the edition was limited by a stated count or left open. We copy those facts from public listings and from notes you already wrote. We do not invent scarcity, and we do not flash remaining-stock warnings.

When two variants share a story but split by ratio, they occupy two ledger lines. If a later drop recolours a helmet or shield, that change is described in words rather than treated as a new series. Character names appear only as the titles on the issues themselves, for review and cataloguing.

Bring cover filenames or screenshots to a desk session in London, or send a numbered list by email. We return annotated captions you can paste beside your own files.
